    C1 master cylinder

The 1958-60 TIM&JG says the MC "may appear painted with black preservative".
Is there an option here? If the MC wasn't hit during the blackout would it be a
gray natural cast color? Did that happen sometimes? Thanks. Pat

    Pat...

In my review of "Survivor" & "star Bowtie's" the master cylinders were unpainted, except for the blackout process that oversprayed the cylinder even to the point of looking black. When I removed the one from my '61, it was only sprayed on one side.

They occasionally appeared with some chassis blackout paint only on the outboard side; I didn't put any on mine.

Thank you gentlemen. Natural cast grey it shall be. Pat G.
