    Idler arm resistance ?

I have been meaning to ask this for some time. When I replaced the idler arm on my 67 about a year ago with a "Heavy Duty" unit from Vette Brakes, I noticed that it was (and still is) very very tight. I is tough to get it to rotate. It works as far as I can tell, and maybe that is just normal? My car has Power Steering. How stiff should the idler arm be?

When new, the idler arm will be quite "stiff". This is normal with either "HD" or standard idler arms.
