You Corvette owners that live in snow country are not alone, I also get snow here in Northern Ca. in the Sierra's .
In my 55 Corvette , I brake out my 55 accessory tire tracks and lay them under the tire to get un-stuck.
Also when you park your Corvette outside in the snow, run an electrical cord to your "Carter"engine accessory heater. Ok I'm done, hope I covered your needs up in Canada.
Just kidding, you must be way up north in California, I'm in Sonora. In my younger days in the early 70's, I rigged up a ski rack on my 67 convertible with a hardtop. The rear portion of the rack clipped onto the 68 luggage rack I had put on in 69. The front portion went on the top of the hardtop with a couple of suction cups, and belts across the top of the hardtop to clips to the side trim. No holes, and it could be taken on and off in 10 minutes.
I used to ski at Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley, on occasion Mammoth and Tahoe. The rack nicely held two sets of ski's and poles, it was really cool.
I even had the rear end hiked up so that I could put chains on the Michelins, although never had to, they were legal as snow tires then.
The hike up is gone with the new suspension and Coker radials now, but the luggage rack is still there. Somewhere in the garage, basement or attic is the ski rack. If your interested, I'll see if I can find it.

I remember so many other after market items used in Corvettes in the 50's and 60's. In the last restorer was a great story about them , love it.It would be interesting to read others stories and photos beside mostly tech info.
Here is a pic. of my 55 having a what is called an (oil eye). Were you could install it to the engine oil or trans oil so that you dint need to pull the stick to tell weather the oils are up to level.
Mine is on the trans oil , You push the button , the glass bowl lights up and fills with trans fluid . ( if it fills , the level is OK -if not you need to add one quart} Vacuum operated.
The Corvette is not running so you see no trans oil!
Next to it is a AC automatic cigarette lighter that lights your cig. and next to it is the 55 accessory GM tissue dispenser.
I'm just a accessory Corvette NUT.
