Can anyone tell me the difference in height between the hood release bracket with and without A/C. Dimension from top of bracket to centerline of cable entry for A/C bracket is what I'm after. I've got an standard bracket I'm trying shim out to work with add-on A/C. Thanks for any input.

Five and seven-eights inches is the distance from the top of the bracket to the cable centerline on my 64 that has factory installed A/C.

Just did that for my 66
The Paragon bracket I used is 6 1/8" from mounting surface to hole centerline.
I haven't put the steering column back in yet but did trial fit the ac duct. The hood release cable just clears under the ac duct. Thats the dimension you are looking for.
My old incorrect standard bracket had a couple of nuts used as spacers on top and the upper right corner was notched to clear a flange on the ac duct.
