    57 headlight switch

I've been trying to find an NOS Delco headlight switch for my 57 and have had no luck at all. I'm beginning to wonder if there is a better Delco part number to be chasing. The number I've been looking for is 1995082, is this the only one or has something else superceded it? The problem I'm having is no instrument lights. Every once in a while they come on but mostly don't work. Any good sources for a switch? Thanks Rich #2276

Go on E-Bay under 55 to 56 Chevy , they are the same.

There is a fuse for the dash lamps on a 56 switch while the 55 switch doesn't have one. I have a 56 Passenger car switch in my 57.

Sounds like you just need to bend the variable resistance tab on the switch.
