I'm not sure that either of these will work on your car. Two questions:
1) Is the car manual trans or automatic?
2) Is the current starter nose made of cast iron or aluminum? In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

That's what I figured. Both of the starters that you mentioned have aluminum noses. One is designed for use on cars with 12-3/4" flywheels (which NO 454 ever used) and the other is designed for use on cars with 14" flexplates and auto transmission. The latter MIGHT also work for your application but I don't think that your car was originally supplied with such a starter.
Anyway, you need starter Delco #323-254 or GM #1876552. If the Delco parts catalog specifies the above starters, then the Delco parts catalog is incorrect. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
