    C1 Radio block-off plate

The plate that was used on 1958-62 non-radio Corvettes to block the hole for the radio, was it used in other Chevrolet vehicles? Is it a hard to find part?

    Re: C1 Radio block-off plate

Plate for '56-57 is listed in the Chicago Corvette Catalog at $95.00 and $275.00 for '58-62. Can't say if this interchanges with other cars (not much in Corvettedom actually does). But, compare the block-off plate cost to that of a whole blood Wonderbar radio that's been reconditioned properly and you're BIG money ahead!

If you purchase one from a vendor and are not very familiar with this plate and its construction, etc, I would advise having someone check it over who is.

Re: C1 Radio block-off plate "Hans"

There are many parts you can find and get under Chevy parts and save biga bucks that are the same as Corvette parts.
Many sellers and dealers buy from classic chevy then turn around and sell them as Corvette parts.
You can often save %50 looking under Classic Chevy , Olds,Cad, Buick and others.
