HI I need pictures of the GM frame numbers, the hand written date as well as the A.O. Smith part number and production sequence numbers for a 63 vette. I am not sure where they go or really how they look. Also, how much time is accetable from the date that the frame is pulled from inventory to the build date of the car? My car was built the second week of May 1963. What color was used for the stenciled numbers? What is the A.O. Smith part number and the production sequence? And lastly where can I get the stencil for the numbers? If you can not send any pictures then could you tell me of a book that would have the pictures. Thank you for your time. Bob

Re: C-2 frame numbers
Hi Bob!
I doubt you'll get the level of detail you need in this forum. No one has the time! But there are several good restoration books available in the NCRS book store that should break this down in excruciating detail for you. The real reason I'm chiming in is to point out that AOSmith bodies only started appearing very late in 1963, December or so (i.e. 1964 cars). A May-built '63 Corvette will be a St. Louie body. In fact, there are no AOS 63's.
Good luck on your restoration!
Pete
P.S. - followed the Quanta link and sure enough, there's the '63 stencil kit.- Top
