    Another Question...

Patrick, how come my relatively new Dell with Windows XP won't open (or save) the video file? I get the window that says it doesn't know which software to use to open the file, and that I should go look on the internet for it. Microsoft! ARRRRGGGGHHH! It's a good thing I have the original DVD.

I have do Quick Time, and Rob's suggestion of right-clicking just doesn't work. The "Save As" line is grayed out. Doesn't matter thanks to Paul. I can look at it to my heart's content. You da man, Paul!
Original DVD? Is that from the 2005 sales brochure?

          Terry,
That .mov file is a copy from the original CD. A member of our Corvette Club picked up the promotional C6 package (including CD) before it was withdrawn by GM after a number of groups voiced concern that it promoted street racing amongst young people??

            Re: Another Question...

"has any one seen the 05 DVD you get from a dealer? I saw it and it took me back to my boy hood when I first seen a new 55 Corvette."

Terry, I believe Roy was talking about the DVD in the 2005 Corvette Sales Brochure. The DVD has the "Boy's Dream" commercial plus a lot of additional information on how the commercial was shot, Corvette features, and design staff interviews. The commercial is just the icing...my favorite part was the safety-helmeted test driver throwing that C6 prototype around the Nurburgring road course.

There are two sales brochures: the typical glossy print version without the DVD for curious lookers , and the large black deluxe version with DVD for likely prospects and purchasers. It looks like one of the old LP album jackets; it's black, wrapped in clear plastic.

Dealers didn't have many for several months after the introduction. I understand they are available at the NCM for $25. I picked up two at Frank Parra Chevrolet in Dallas after the Texas Regional. Anyone in the Dallas area can ask for Jose Hernandez (knows this car backwards and forwards); tell him I sent you.

              Re: Another Question...

Uhhhhmmmm...No! Darn computers...didn't they used to tell you what you needed to open a file? I'll do an internet search and see if I can find a download.

                  Sometimes I go

out into the garage and do just that. I got mine from my Dad 20 years ago, but before that it was all his, and as a kid I couldn't mess with it. After I got old enough to help him with it, that changed. When I was about 12, he gave me a bag of plugs and pointed at the car. Pretty good day.
