Engine paint question?

Re: Engine paint question?
Gary, I saw the same show a few weeks ago. I went with his first option and used a spray can. I pulled the engine of my '66 smallblock 3 years ago to do some maintenence and cleanup. With the engine on a stand, I pulled the valve covers, timing cover, oil pan, carb, intake and exhaust manifolds and all brackets off the block. Cleaned everything thoroughly and scraped off old loose paint. I then used a couple cans of Seymour EN-48 Chevy Orange spray paint, put everything back together with new gaskets and re-installed the engine. I've driven the car probably 5000 miles since then and the paint is holding up very well.- Top

Re: Engine paint question?
Mark,
Thanks for the info.! I'm close to the point of repainting the engine. I figure since the rest of the car is in the shop for paint why not the engine.
I had not understood before the show that normal body paint could be used.
I have had good succes with a can. I'll probably stick to it
