    C2 Lower Dash Layout

My 65 coupe has aftermarket A/C that was on the car when I bought it. The hood release had a round knob and attached on the bottom of the dash instead of the brace. The vent pulls were moved around. I'm trying to get everything back into the approximate alignment of a factory A/C car. I've got the correct hood release in the proper position and understand the proper location of the headlight switch based on the AIM, but am not clear on the proper location of the rear duct control and vent pulls. While the AIM shows the individual components, I haven't found everything together. Does anyone have a good photograph of the bottom of the dash showing the proper layout and relationship of the controls. Any help is appreciated.

I can make a photo of a 66 non-air car. Perhaps someone could first say if they are installed the same way.

    Thanks - Tom D.

Steve -- You have a right to be confused. C60 in a '64 or '65 coupe shifts many of the under-dash controls (compared to non-air cars). Have you refered to at least the 4 different areas of the AIM ? You seem to have the left side of the steering column figured out (headlight rotate switch moves inboard to the next cut-out; the hood release moves inboard on the under-dash brace (air bracket is longer); the left kick-panel vent cable moves to the immediate RIGHT side of the steering column. The rear blower duct cable moves to the extreme right of the underside edge of the instrument panel (except 36 gal cars). Of course, in C60 cars, the right kick-panel vent is controlled by the "blower switch and air-inlet" cable knob to the lower-left of the clock.

      Good luck

Thanks Wayne, You've cleared up several things. I'll try to pay particular attention to an air car at the next NCRS meet I get to and get a good photograph of the underdash arrangement.
