Hi,
I sold my 1959 and was looking for a 1957. Is anyone aware of any scams on the internet concerning the selling of a 1957? I just want to be informed and aware. Thanks for any feedback. We need to stick together.

Internet scams are everywhere everyday. Check the archives for some examples but beware they are not limited to any make model or year. If you look for Ebay to protect you forget it. Ebay will pull scams if you bring them to their attention but otherwise it is everyone for themselves.

Let the Ebay rating be a guide but do not count on it too heavily as scammers highjack a good sellers identity and then take you to the cleaners. If a deal seems too good to be true run for the hills. Bottom line is be very careful its a jungle out there.

Congratulations. Glad it worked out. Now about my fee...

Anything on eBay, I would go see first, or have it so if you win, you can refuse once you see it if it is not as advertised. Some want a hefty non-refundable deposit, and understandably so.

At the least, have someone here or anywhere else you know go and physically look at the car to ensure it is real and at least halfway matches the description.

Dealers. Lots of them on the Internet. Prepare to sell your first born.

Hit the shows. You might get lucky.

Keep checking in all email groups and forums about the year and type you want. Someone might spot something.
