    Re: 66 Corvette 425HP??

I have not removed the gage cluster, I have brought the seller down to a 390hp price and I think I might buy it and figure it out later. Thanks Everyone!!

      K66 doesn't automatically = L72

You could get TI with L36 as well. My second car ('66 coupe # 4166) had it.

          The Judging Guide says....

390 HP car has 60-lb oil gauge to match its 5500 RPM tach while 425HP car has 80-lb oil gauge to match its 6500 RPM tach. Then there's a footnote....

"Although unusual, 80 lb oil gauges may, on a rare occassion, be observed."

that's linked to the description of the 390 HP car.

Figures I'd have the odd duck. I can document (in a sense) this car since I got it from my dad and mom who got it from the original owner who was and is a friend of the family and I am sure that no gauges were replaced. What, if anything, should I do to document this to NCRS standards, and would anything in this help advance knowledge of these cars. I mean, would it be helpful to anyone if I posted build date or any other data from old red?
Further, should I repost the above so more people would see and comment?
