    Re: date an points

Carburetors normally are allocated 40 originality points, so you'd lose 20% of that (8 points) for an incorrect date, assuming the other four axes are correct (finish, installation, completeness, and configuration), and you'd still be eligible for all the condition points.

      John,

No offense or flame intended here.

In some classes the carburetor date (and some other component dates) are called out on a separate line. The date may have more, or less, than 20% of the total item points in those cases, although it is usually around 20%.
Without a current copy of the applicable score sheet these point suggestions are just that, a suggestion.

Current score sheets are available to members in PDF format from the National Judging chairman by means of an email request to him. See the contacts button at the top of the page.

        Regards,
        Rick

If the service replacement has the correct part#, list# etc.it would be all ok except the date. The same deduction would apply.

Yup, I agree - I should have said "generally" instead of "normally"; I was referring to the '67 sheets as an example, as I don't have '69 sheets. I suggested to Lyndon that he get a set of score sheets from Roy in another post up near the top of the board.
