I found a 1957 restored vette for $16,000 on the internet. The car was supposedly in Athens Greece. The seller had pictures, Virginia title and a Greek id which was emailed to me. They wanted a $4000 deposit (US) to ship the car via Western Union. Through investigating I found the "seller" was in Nigeria and the whole deal was a scam. The seller was "Mary Guy" and was selling the car becuase her daughter needed surgery. The seller was calling me on the TTY line, so I never spoke to them directly. This is illegal if the are not hearing impaired.
