3925660 case ID?

I have a case that I am trying to ID.
Markings
PN 3925660 P9P23 19S703531 11W

From the archives I think I have:
Muncie built before Oct 68
Passenger, 1969 vehicle, not sure what the P means, 23 date of month.

Could someone tell me what the VIN designates?

Can't help you with the vin. Is there an A,B, or C after the P9P23?

Does not have the ratio designator.

Since the VIN says it was an early 69 car and the P9P23 means sep 69 how can this be? Should not a P9P (september 69) trans go into a '70 vehicle? Also no ratio designator means it should have been built before Oct 68.

If the above is true the 9 must really be an 8 in the P9P code. It sure looks like a 9 but the bottam half of the stamp is very light.

Can anyone confirm the above?

Thanks for the trans info. That does clear up my confusion. The VIN is on the trans itself.

I have a few trans parts I need to get rid of and trying to figure out what they are for. Have the JGM for my 62.

Any one have a 69 with 3531 VIN that is missing the original case?

I kind of figured it was a lose case, but didn't want to ass-u-me anything. I also wanted to point out the production range on the dates around early 1969 production.
