66 W/390 HP Oil Press Ga.

Need input from owners of original 66 427/390 HP cars about the oil pressure guage. Is it an 80# or a 60# unit? There has been quite a bit of discussion about this lately and I believe the latest JG states that most had the 60# unit. I suppose it's possible that very late production cars may have had the 60# unit but I believe the majority had the 80#. Thanks,

My March 4th built '66 has an 80lb guage. It's all original.

I think we're onto something here. My car is also a March car and has a 80lb oil ga. I have to believe that based on the random response you've received, that the JG is incorrect.

I have a dec 65, 427/390hp. With a 60 lb gauge, which I believe is correct as everything else checks out and the car has not been restored.

I looked at a C26 (November 65) build 2nd owner 390 HP car that has the 80#. It's about 10 miles from here so I can go inspect if necessary. Other than a coat of paint about ten years ago, the car is "UN".

Interesting that a December car showed up with a 60#.

I looked at a C26 (November 65) build 2nd owner 390 HP car that has the 80#. It's about 10 miles from here so I can go inspect if necessary. Other than a coat of paint about ten years ago, the car is "UN".
