The repo folks sell what is termed "radiator support seals" (Corvette Central part #'s 241015 and 016). They are thin strips of rubber. I would assume that my '59 270hp would use these. My question is just where do they go and how are they held in. Do they go between the radiator and the support? On which side...front or back? I presume they block the airflow around the sides and force air to go through the coils. It looks like the vertically mounted ones go through the radiator mounting holes on the rear (toward the engine) but I fail to see how it would re-route the airflow. Are the lower ones held in by screws or are they glued in? Help!

Re: C1 - Radiator Seals
Brad, The judging manual says 3 rubber seals at the base on the forward grille side. Center seals the opening between rad and lower baffle 2 outer L shaped ones in the lower corners. The ones I have seen are glued there with yellow weatherstrip adhesive. The 2 side seals I beleive are used in mid 1962 fuel injected cars( page 385 Corvette Resto and Tech guide Noland Adams). I bought them also thinking they were for my 59 270hp car.- Top
