    Yet another Chevy orange comparison....

For those interested, I found the Seymour and Plasti-Kote very similar in colour
with the Plasti-Kote maybe just a very wee bit more orange. I thought both were
a good orange without much red untill I compared it to the Eastwood Chevy orange powdercoat. I don't know yet if the Eastwood aerosol orange matches their powdercoat. Pat G.

My vote's for the Eastwood, at least for the 50's and early 60's cars. However, it still looks like it has too much clear, not enough actual moly orange pigment.

Can't use Moly Orange anymore. Heavy metal containing. Illegal in US. They are forced to use a non heavy metal orange pigment to gain correct color. Not always easy to do or successful.

Thanks Steve, I wasn't aware of that. Things sure have changed since I was restoring Corvettes a few years ago. Does any paint mfg. still make/sell quarts of anything that looks close to the correct color without the excess clear in the mix?

                How about POR-15.

As a brush on it gones on a little too thick and flows too much. Takes a long time to cure. This thermo housing needs another coat on the high spots. Too much flow.

                How's the color look?
