Various hood brackets and door latches on my 1957 are in need of cadmium plating. I prefer to keep the plating as original as possible, and therefore would rather not zinc plate. Does anyone have a recommendation on who does extremely nice cadmium plating? Thanks so much. Wayne

I had my spark plug boot heat shields cadmium plated at Millcreek Metal Finishing. They are located in Erie, PA.
Another cad plater is Imperial Plating Company in Springfield, IL. I have not used them.

I've used Van Nuys Plating with great results. They do all the colors of Cadmium, just make sure you tell then which one. Be real specific. The silver cad they call cad 1 or cad clear. The gold/dichromate, I cant remmeber if they have another name for it. They are in Van Nuys California (Los Angeles area)Ph # 818 785-5885.Comment
