    Not Correctly Restored Stingray

I noticed a post containing this about a car at Old Town. I know this seemed a bit hot elsewhere a month or two ago and I have a thought for NCRS.

Instead of fighting with these guys and just making them more determined, take it and trademark it.

Since NCRS already has NCRS for National Corvette Restorers Society, it would be a natural for us to has stickers for our non-restored cars, i.e., our drivers. There are a few who have even gone opposite restoring on a driver or two so it isnt' like you can't have both.

So for the restored cars, the traditional NCRS sticker. For those drivers and such, we could give the Not Correctly Restored Stingray stickers.

By doing so, it takes the steam out of these guys looking for trouble.

And it trademarks it with us so we own it and if they produce any, then we really can take action against them, instead of just threaten.

    Just a thought.

    Re: Not Correctly stated noun

    I am a driver.

My car is and automobile, a Corvette, a street machine, a passion, and a hobby.

Please try not to mix the two up.

Ironically, it was a well known

NCRS member who (innocently) first coined the phrase 'Not Correctly Restored Stingray' as a harmless joke. Perhaps this means that the NCRS already has rights to the alternate meaning?

BTW, I doubt that trademarking this symbol would calm the waters with the other group, most probably it would have the opposite effect.

That was a fad that will pass. The true NCRS will endure.
