Can any one help me with 2 paint questions I have?

1. what was the original color of the engine in a 1960 vette?

2. Did any 1960's come with exterior colors of white with a red cove?

I'm just starting my restoration so I need lots of help.

1. Engines were orange.

2. Not according to the Spec Book, which I had to refer to since I can remember seeing many white cars with red coves. The Spec Book says only white coves with white or Inca Silver coves with white.

3. The one you didn't ask. This last part begs you to get in touch with those local to you. The local Corvette club and the local NCRS Chapter are gret resources when you need that extra set of hands or eyes.

You see a lot of white C1's with red coves, but they didn't come that way originally. There were 15 cars delivered in 1960 with "non-standard" paint combinations or in primer, so anything is remotely possible.

Where are you located? Do you need a restoration shop or are you attempting this by yourself?
