Re: intake manifold paint
re intake manifold paint john mcrae brandon i got the advice from gene manno and others here is what gene said yes silver paint was applied to the manifold after the orange was sprayed the orange coverage extends around the front and rear corners of the heads up to and a little on the manifold no orange is typical along the top and machined mating surface of the intake ports this area is typically raw cast iron with overspray of silver as produced by gm many ncrs cars on the show field incorrectly paint the entire head orange then over spray the silver while painting the manifold silver coverage on the manifold should be sparse along the front rear surfaces of the block and gasket adjacent to the intake manifold should be small traces of silver overspray intake bolts water neck are in place during painting this is more or less what i did although i think i made it look a little too neat i hope this helps thanks again to gene- Top
