I just purchased new inner (frame mounted) sway bar bushings, and they are much larger than the old ones and do not fit into the bracket holder. Do I need to trim these or do I need to crush the heck out of them in order for them to fit. ie, they fit width wise but not length wise...

I believe that the vendor that you purchased these bushing from inadvertably gave you the front bushings. There is a distinct difference in the bar diameter, front and rear.Dick Whittington- Top

I don't know if you have the correct bushings, or not. However, the bushings do need to be "compressed into" the brackets. This may even require the temporary installation of longer attachment bolts to allow you to pull them in. The bushings that you remove will look nothing like the new ones as the old ones have already been compressed.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
