re spare tire cover gene manno ron i think the finish is a black stain originals appear to be thinly covered i prepared my buddy's ' using some flat black enamel mixed about thinner to paint then applied this with a cotton rag just dampen the rag with the mix and apply in circular motion we had the added trouble of working around the original label ncrs judging complemented the tire cover
