Corvette Restorer - Thank you all

    Hi all,

Hereby I would like to address a big THANK YOU to all people who have contributed to the Corvette Restorer since day one (e.g. like driving such enjoyable and interesting articles). As a youngster in this hobby (I'm a 67-er) I'm very much enjoying reading all the back-issues I've been able to buy (e.g. via e-Bay). I currently have almost every issue since volume IV and spend many hours reading these amazing magazines!!!

thanks again all for sharing your knowledge and stories!

PS I wish I could attend all these wonderfull NCRS meets but it is simply to costly to travel to the States each year.

As you have, when I joined I purchased all the back issues available. What a wealth of experience and knowledge. Many lifetimes of experience that is invaluable to all.

THANKS to all that have contributed, and to the editors who have put the articles in print for all of use to enjoy and broaden our knowledge

Re: Corvette Restorer - Thank you all

        Rob,
The basic principle of The Corvette Restorer has been that it is written by members for members -- that concept originated quite a while ago, as you can see in those back issues. As you point out, without the generosity of the authors, their willingness to share their knowledge, it would not be nearly as interesting.
The judging system NCRS uses, one in which we do not compete against each other, makes that sharing possible.
The author's contact information is included with each article so that if the membership has anything to add to the author's work, they may do so. You will note that there is sometimes follow-on stories to amplify part of an earlier story. I also try to reference earlier stories on the same or a closely-related topic. A collection of The Corvette Restorer, or easier yet The Restorer CD, can be a valuable tool in anyone's reference library.
I too offer my thanks to the member-authors for all their help in sharing the word.

For NM it's only a couple of days

Everett - It will probably arrive today. They delivered them to LA this Wednesday, so you can't be far behind. I guess those NM USPS mail burros are just slower in the winter months. BTW, there are a number of excellent articles and there's an excellent carb article you'll enjoy reading, I'm sure. Have fun. Pete
