L88 Hood Decal

Noticed today that the 1969 AIM contains page B2 in the L88 option section, dated 11-20, clearly showing the location and part number for a L88 hood decal. What is the general thinking regarding the decal - never actually used on production cars? The 1968 AIM does not have this page by the way. I suspect the consensus will be that they were never used, but I find the AIM information quite interesting.

I don't think that they were ever used in PRODUCTION. However, the part was manufactured and was available in SERVICE for quite a few years.

Everett, like Joe said they were never used in production but for some reason Chevrolet offered them well on into the 90's as a service part. Go figure. Like the 70 LS-7, in the AIM but was never built for production or the 69 LT-1

Have a handful of these decals...

I have some really old, rare, and EXPENSIVE originals ! I was tempted to put a pair on my hood, but now Dick will be watching for them and take major deducts, so I will abandon that plan. Thanks for your responses guys.

Everett, I thought that they would have looked good on the hood of my L/88 also. I think that I still have 4-5 sets somewhere. Looked good on my tool box though.
