Door weather striping

I am replacing the weather striping on the doors of my car. It is brittle and comes off in pieces. Is there a good way to remove the old adhesive? I can't bring myself to scrape it off. Any suggestions on a solvent?

3M offers a weatherstripping adhesive remover. It's a solvent of some sort. It works quite well. If your local auto parts store doesn't have it, an automotive paint and body supply store should.

I bought the 3m adhesive remover at WalMart. Works great as stated in previous post.
