Re: Where is a there a list of Corvette Museums?
Doc: One place on my list of "must see's" is Floyd Garrett's muscle car museum in Sevierville (sp?) Tenn. It's been featured on Shadetree Mechanic as well as My Classic Car. Ol' Floyd has some sweet machines, including some nice looking MidYears.
I've always wondered where Floyd came by all the $$$$ needed to amass this mind-boggling collection. Anybody out there have the story?- Top

i have been there several times and a lot of the cars are "loaners",belong to someone else. some of the better museums i have been in are private, not open to the public. there is one near me that has the worlds biggest collection of Z-11s,the 427 version of the chevy "W"engine, lightweight impala drag cars including dave strickler,"old reliable" and other factory drag cars- Top

Re: Edelbrock private tour
I know Christie Edelbrock's husband 'cause he trains equestrian horses here in Malibu. Down in Torrance at Edelbrock, I went on a private tour of his 'Toy Barn' I think Vic jr. calls it. He has the #3 Stingray, ZO6 that he still vintage races. He's got lots of cool cars and boats, especially a 67 SS Camaro covert. with something stupid like 1500 original miles. It was his test mule for some of his Dad's parts.

Iffen yer be in the area of Gatlinburg, TN the Floyd Garret Musclecar Museum offers a few Vettes at times. Plus a lot of NASCAR memorbelia...including a couple of Chevrolet "Mystery Engines". A private collection near Atlanta at Gainesville is worth seeing. A few Vettes, but one of the finest collections of mostly musclecars in the South. Milt Robinson's. If you plan to be in that era, let me know and I will see if I can find someone to contact Milt and arrange a tour. Another private collection South of Charlotte is worth your time to see. Very private but I think I know someone that can get you in.Dick Whittington- Top
