    3811 GM Part Number

What does the EO or EQ stand for at the end of the GM part number stamped on the air horn on the 3811 carb?

Does this mean replacement or is it part of the original part number?

It's a broadcast (usage) code; not part of the GM part number.

How can you tell if a carb is a service replacement?

And how can you tell if a carb is a Holley re-run with a restamped date?

Holley just released some units with no date stamped on them, I want an original not a restamp. How can I be sure it is original?
