Another vin question

I tried the Wi club site to check my vin #
But, if I changed the year the build date would change.

Isn't the vin unique to the car?

Dennis - yes, but you are only keying in the sequence part of the VIN, not the complete VIN....Craig

The same last five digits plugged in for different year cars will yield different build dates; you have to select the correct year for your car before hitting the button to get your build date. The same "last-5" numerical sequence was used every year; the digits ahead of that identify the year of the car.
