Try these links for events... They each have very large shows.

The Woodward Dream Cruise (www.woodwarddreamcruise.com) is a great event to attend with well over a million people lining the sides of Woodward Ave but I certainly wouldn't call it a Corvette show. It's pure gridlock starting on the Wednesday before, with little chance of seeing many Corvettes. The Michigan NCRS chapter has allocated spots on Sat only, in Birmingham, alongside the Chevrolet display. Last year it took me 1 1/2hrs to go 8 miles starting at 11:30 am and this is before things got real busy! Geoffrey, come and enjoy a great cruise but I wouldn't want you to think its a Corvette show. Also contact John Hinckley about the Michigan chapter activities for the cruise.
          Regards,
          Rick
P.S. If you come, Joe Roebuck and I throw a party at our garage on Friday night and you would welcome to attend.

            Geoffrey -

The "Corvettes America" show at the GM Technical Center on August 13th is probably the best Corvette-only show in the state; it's on the grounds where our cars were created, and attracts 400-500 Corvettes, lots of GM displays and Corvette concept cars, many vendors, swap meet, car corral, etc. It's hosted by "America's Corvette Club", which is an NCCC club sponsored by Cauley Chevrolet, who is also our Michigan NCRS Chapter sponsor.

There are lots of other all-make or all-GM shows crammed into our short season, but "Corvettes America" is the only major Corvette-only show in the area. The Woodward Dream Cruise on August 20th is a spectacle beyond belief (biggest one-day automotive event in the world, with 40,000+ classics, rods, customs, etc. and 1.5 million of your closest friends), but is not Corvette-only; we combine that event with our Annual Chapter Picnic each year.

I can put you in touch with the "Corvettes America" show organizers if you'd like a spot for your rolling warehouse and security staff
