    BJ Scottsdale Analysis

The big surprise for me was the values of the custom Corvettes and other customs. Disregarding the fabulous 54 Corvette derivative F88, lesser well know customs fared well. Last years Lincoln Zephyr custom seems to have ignited a price trend.

I think if you have a marginally original, unappealing color with a base motor, smoking motor or NOM it can be quite rewarding to drop in a crate motor and repaint Red or Black and buy a NCRS decal or license plate. Off course, the right colors, the right options and NCRS B/Gold awards are still a valuable commodity also but definitely more of an effort to achieve.

Sure to excite ones juices, can you say Big Block? I know, I know. Small Blocks may Rule, but Big Blocks make’em Drool.

            Alas and Alack,

but it would seem that the spirit of the Black 396 CV lives. Consider lot #
450.1, a '67 Black/Red coupe, 435 HP, 4 spd, PS, PB, side exhaust, leather, tinted, F41, shoulder belts, etc.
Now compare it to the "OTHER" VIN 802 advertised in Driveline #154, the 2nd ad in the middle column,
Thanks goodness the buyer only bid $163,080.00. He COULD have been spending "real big bucks".

              Geoff,
What happen to the 67 small blocks? Have they all been converted to BB cars!
Thanks for passing this stuff along. Very interesting.
