Could someone please post a picture of a correct painted 67 BB (435hp)drivers side valve cover that clearly shows the proper dent and tall spark plug wire stand.I've been researching and am still confused.Did all 67 BB painted valve covers have the tall wire stand in rear on driver side and passenger side? A picture of the passenger side would be great also. The judging manual gives no detail. When did the tall wire stand on the driver side appear/disappear? Thanks all!

Re: 67 BB Valve Covers
Pat,
You'll see a lot of valve covers advertised for corvettes that aren't correct. They have the 2 plug wire bracket on the passenger side in the wrong place, in line with the pcv valve hole. Original '67 "corvette" valve covers have the bracket more forward, between the pcv and oil cap hole. All '67 corvette painted valve covers have the two, tall wire stands on the rear, oil drippers and the "dent" for the power brake booster on the driver's side cover. You can see a picure of correct(reproduction) covers at www.cranescorvette.com- Top

Re: What about...
I think you're right, it's hard enough to keep tract of what's correct for one year with all the info that's available now. I'm looking for a '66 small block, driver quality roadster now, and trying to learn all I can, as fast as I can.- Top
