    67 BBC Head Date codes

I'm restoring a 67 vette Big Block car thats all numbers matching except for the motor thats missing. So, I'm in the process of looking for all the pieces to build a motor as correct as possible. A friend of mine has a set of BBC heads casting # 3916323, date code H 24 7. I'm told I have a late 67 car and these heads would be on the cusp of the end of the 67 run. If the car were judged, would these heads qualify as vette, or would they be excluded because of the date code? If they are acceptable, what build date range would my car have to be, for them to be correct. My friend is restoring the vehicle for me, so if the questions seem a little dumb it's because I'm in learning phase. Also, if the heads would qualify for a 67 vette but not mine, I'd love to make them available to someone that could use them. They're really priced reasonably and I know how hard this stuff is to find.
Thank you for any information you could provide me.

Do they have the plug for the temp sender used in '68? As far as I know, the "pullahead" 68 castings used in '67 did not have the hole drilled, and tapped, although the boss was present.

agree with bill. if the head's been drilled and tapped for temp sending unit, judges won't like it. mike

Thanks for the input. So, if it doesn't have the holes drilled, your saying it would be acceptable for a late 67?

Fortunately, casting numbers are not judged on heads. How late is late and other questions are involved if I was buying the car that do not get involved in judging. In general, the closer to the last days of production the ENGINE BUILD is, the more likely a part could have been substituted, and the temp plug not being drilled would make it a '67 application for sure, not necessarily Corvette, but a '67 engine.
