'67 Convertible, Hard Top vinyl cover

Does anyone have information on how to prepare the fierglass surface of the removable hard top prior to installing a new vinyl cover. Does it need to be painted, primered, on just bare? TIA, John.

John, Just a thought. You could contact Glassworks/The Hardtop Shop and ask how they do it. Go to their website thehardtopshop.com and contact them from there. Good luck, Jim

I think they just glue them on over the cleaned painted surface. But it better be the black original. Mine's white and I like it that way. We're probably going to hear it from the factory guys.
