    Exhaust too loud

My 1966 327/350 has factory side pipes. They are too loud (for my taste). What steps can I take to quiet them down? They look great! Rich

You can't do much to quiet them down other than replace them. Possibly they are carboned up or worn out, but chances are good a replacement set of mufflers may not be that much quiter than what you have....Craig

Richard, A friend of mine has a '64 roadster that he put new sidepipes on and also felt they were too loud. He took it to the local Corvette shop and they welded in some baffels and he is happy with the sound level now.
