    59 steering hub

Before actually looking, I took apart the steering hub from my 59. There are two roller pins on the back of this hub. Does anyone know if they go at the 3 o'clock position or the 9 o'clock postition. My turn signal cancelling mechanism does not function in either orientation, but I would like to know which is the correct installation configuration. thanks.

    Re: 59 steering hub

Michael, Since nobody else has taken a shot at your question, I'll take a shot.I have a 1960 corvette, that I have had cam cancelling problems with. My problem turned out to be due to the the flat spring. Although it looked o-kay, when replaced with a new one, my problems were over. In your post you mention a roll pin. Is that at the back of the steering wheel side of the hub? I remember a pin there at aprox. the 2o'clock posistion. Post more info if you need more help and I'll take mine apart for a look [ I have had it apart so many times it will only take a few minutes ].
