black lacquer

I need a source for black lacquer to paint my '69 top frame. Year One sells it, but it's back ordered for 4 weeks. Anyone know a good source?

If you're talking about the exterior black lacquer color coat its PPG DDL9300, and the other paint OEMs have equivalents.

You should be able to order it at any automotive finish supplier. Since its a "factory pack" color it doesn't have to be blended in the field, so a paint dealer can order it even if he doesn't have a lacquer mixing maching.

This mix was used for all GM black acrylinc lacquer jobs from 1958 until lacquer was phased out in the early eighties.

Sherwin Williams Automotive stores still sell black lacquer, part # L10B1738. NAPA sells the Martin Senour equivalent, not sure what the number is.
