Rebuilding my headlight motors and found some serious bubba engineering. On one motor, the case was drilled through and a quarter inch bolt used to hold the stator to the inside of the case. The bolt protruded from the case by about 5/8” because a washer and nut was used for spacing I suppose.
If I send this motor to someone for rebuild I assume they will consider this a nonrebuildable core. What are my options? Can I buy just the case?
