C1 tar top battery / trunk mat

HI Boys & Girls, I need to get a Delco Tar top for my 58 being Flight Judged in March.
Who has the real thing ? Can someone give me a number I can call. What battery do I put in to get the most points, if I can't get a tar top. Also, I have the original trunk mat, to me it looks like, well it has about a 4 inch tear. I replaced it with a correct numbered mat. On my old Judging sheets, I have the ones from when the car got a 2nd Flight & a Top Flight. I compared the two score sheets as I was going over every inch of my car, one judge wrote "Beautiful" in the comments line. To me the original mat looks terrible. What mat will I get least deductions for, the new perfect mat or the original ratty one ?

On your questions about the trunk mat, should receive no deduction of originality points for the original mat and a very small deduction for condition points, if the tear is the only thing which affects the condition of the mat (although from your comment that it looks terrible, there may be additional things such as staining, fading or detrioration which may result in a slightly higher deduction). For the replacement mat, if it appears to differ from the original, you should receive a small deduction of originality points and no deduction of condition points (assuming it is in close to new condition).

The trunk mat is a tough call. Judges are human beings. I've judged and headed judging teams for NCRS since 1977. I love neat correct original old things like original trunk mats, and would almost give plus points if I could for a nice old original rather than a reproduction that anybody/anybody can buy and place in their trunk. The next judge, who just finished his frame-off with almost all reproduction parts would turn up his nose at a mat with a tear in it. Who's going to be judging your trunk? We don't know, do we?
