My front shock washers (metal and domed shaped) are losing there finish.I Would like to restore them.Any ideas what the best process is? Thanks, for any help.

To restore the original finish on these you'll need to strip off all of the existing finish. Then, you'll have to apply a phosphate finish followed by oiling. It's a lot of trouble, though, and this piece is still available new from GM for about 4 bucks, GM list, each. It's still available under the original part number, too, and is identical to the originals. GM #3790342 is what you want.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

This particular part is supplied 1 per package.
Also, I forgot to mention earlier, when these retainers are used, one should also use bushing GM #3790341. These are also still available from GM and are packaged 1 to a package.
You can use the standard shock bushings with the 3790342 retainers. However, the best installation is obtained using the 3790341 bushings which are designed for use with the 3790342 retainers.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
