67 Coupe wiper grills.

I just realized the wiper grills that came with the car are chromed and the car is being painted this week. Would anyone have a nice pair I could buy in a hurry? My apoligies for this request . Please reply off line. Thanks.

If you have no luck purchasing a pair, the chrome on your existing grilles can be easily and quickly stripped in an acid bath. Most plating shops are set up to do this. Often, when a part is replated the old plating has to be stripped off this way. In your case, you just wouldn't be replating the parts. I'd definitely get them coated with zinc chromate primer immediately after stripping, though, and prior to painting.

Worst case, consider getting yours glass bead blasted to etch the surface, then paint them.
