My 1957 Wonderbar radio is removed for R&R. When it comes time for installation I need some help on identifying the correct fasteners, as I believe mine or not.
My Chevrolet P&A Catalogs are of very little help, but do provide some clues.
From the Standard Parts Listing in these old catalogs I can only find 2 out of the 6 different pieces of hardware required.
Speaker Assembly:
Gr. 8.929 – 120391 – Plain Washer (Cadmium) 7/32” (Large) (No. 10)
UL – 161874 – Screw Assy. ??????
UL – 3706911 – Nut-J ??????
Receiver Assembly:
Gr. 8.915 – 120375 – Hexagon Nut (Cadmium Plated) ¼”-20
UL – 121887 – Bolt ??????
UL – 7264395 – Washers (2) ??????
From the known companion pieces I can probably figure out the relative sizes of the unknown parts, but not always the correct length/style. The above Screw Assembly is most likely a tapping screw (#10) or machine screw (10-24), but which one and what is its length and head type? The unknown Bolt is probably a ¼”-20 sized one. Are the Washers those special internal tooth ones that are rather square and dished in shape?
Thanks for any input. A long post for such small parts, but then it is all in the details.
Gary
