    63 Convertible value

Did I pass up a good deal, 63 convertible for $25,000 ? CA car, red(original color), repainted once (overspray on bumpers) needs painted again, both tops (good condition). Good black interior, good frame. NOM 1967 327, edelbrock, no ign shielding but running poorly from lack of use/leaking thermo housing. Rusty exh system, pitted exh trim, pitted taillights. Rebuilt brakes but dragging parking brake. Steel wheels w/hubcaps. Values are "all over the map" with auctions, EBAY, Hemmings, NCRS, etc. How does one evaluate values these days ?

I don't think so. If you bought it and did all the work yourself and didn't count the hours, then maybe you could sell it for more, but I doubt you could honestly say you made a profit. Sounds like a fair price (to the seller) for the car you describe.
