66 powerglide throttle return springs

Need some help for a friend whose car will be flight judged

What is the location and color of the throttle return springs for 66 300HP powerglide (M35).

Aim manual M35 A8 is confusing as it shows 2 springs,one spring attached to ign coil bracket in view C. That's a stretch (no pun intended). A9 shows a single spring.

Also looked in LIC catalog and only 67 springs (2) are shown 22-53C.

He is currently using the yellow 67 springs but not clear where they attach.

I'm no expert, but my car has only one spring on the drivers side. It attaches to the accellerator rod and to a metal bracket attached to the two front intake bolts. I thought this was incorrect, but have seem several other (supposedly original) '66 PG cars with the same configuration.
