I would like to have my origional carbs rebuilt while the car is away. Can anyone give me a recommendation about the work done by Jerry Luck. If I can't find anyone else I was thinking of having Quanta send them to Holley if they still do that.

Re: 435hp carb rebuild
Hard to beat Jerry Luck for quality. His carbs look like works of art when you get them back. Better yet, they also run great. Chuck1963 Corvette Conv. 327/360 NCRS Top Flight

Re: 435hp carb rebuild
I recommend Bob Kunz (he's in St. Louis and been an active member in NCRS for years, including achieving Duntov with his own car).....Not only is Bob honest (you'll get YOUR carburetor back with all IT's parts), but you'll find that Bob will become a resource into the future. Kunz's restoration includes fly-cutting all gasket surfaces before re-plating / refurbishing all parts and finishes and then dialing the carb(s) in on a running engine.......Bob has done my restoration work since 1990, to my complete satisfaction.- Top

Re: 435hp carb rebuild
I spent almost $1,000 to have my two barrels restored by the Holley Custom shop four years ago, took eight weeks, got them back and they could not be made to run correctly, they leaked from places they didn't before, Holley took them back, another six weeks and they came back no better. I lived with them and their problems for a year and met Jerry Luck at Carlisle where he was sharing hard learned information with strangers regarding curing Holley woes, I sent my deuces to him a month later, they returned four weeks later looking like nothing I'd ever seen before short of new in the box, they never leaked again, they bolted up, ran perfectly and have done so ever since. If I had to choose one automotive service in the nation it would be Jerry Luck, he is in my opinion without equal.
