    Fiber Optics

    The Fiber Optic harness were cut and coiled up front and rear its all there can they be spliced if so how? Or should I Buy New

    I have repaired quite a few by using a single edge razor blade to make a Square cut on each end of the damaged section. Use regular heat shrink tubing, not the sealing type with hot glue inside, butt the ends together tightly and heat being careful not to overheat.

    You can clean the ends with isoprophyl alcohol and a Q-tip. The end seals are available from Dr.Rebuild at a very nominal fee. Shipping would be more that a whole set of them.
