They dint use them in 62 , but old VC gasket sets did come with them , some old fel-pro gaskets still do. I never see them installed on vetts or cars any more, I think people have for gotten about them but I have them on my 55 beater. Just another little thing NCRS misses in the JM.
A simple thing some one could write the NCRS Restorer !!
These seals were apparently never serviced, as they don't show up anywhere in the P&A30 parts book, either in the illustrations or in the listings; they also don't appear anywhere in Flint Engine's Engineering Bill of Material for the 1955 V-8 engine, either for passenger car or Corvette usage.
Your absolutely %100 dead on right! and a large percent of ORIGINAL correct parts that WERE used and installed are not ether . Show me documentation and Engineering Bill of Material ,books ,prints and any other paper work for many things that we know and NCRS judges know that is correct with out any paper trail .
A larger percent of correct thing were original that we all know NOW that have no documentation.
But most old timers KNOW the VC bolts did have seals, Corvette and Chevy owners.
