    Original Documentation

Would anyone know of reputable resources for purchasing warranty/POP documentation? While I have the original build sheet, I am interested in better developing my "documentation". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Joe

    Joe:

Your question touches on a sensitive subject to several of us on this forum.
There are sources to get what your requesting, advertisements for this can be found in Hemmings Motor News issues, under the Corvette section.

      Re: Original Documentation

Thanks for the note and I certainly understand the sensitivity associated with this request. I, like you, get very upset in seeing people who use this documentation to deceive or earn something they don't deserve. I am very lucky to have a 67 L89 with almost all original matching numbers. We were lucky enough to find that the previous owner never dropped the tank, so the build sheet was in decent condition. Knowing that I am sitting without a warrant card and POP is something I want for my own satisfaction and would never pass it off as being "original" to the car. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it! Joe

I don't think you'll fool anyone in the know with the repro POP. They are expensive and easily detectable.

            Re: Original Documentation (p-o-p)

What should one be looking at on a P-O-P to make sure its not fake? Is there anything that stands out with a fake p-o-p that we should double check when looking at one? Please let us know.

I'm no expert but I believe it's like detecting a repro trim tag. They were all stamped from 1 machine and have detectable differences. I believe that there is an issue with the tape used also.
